Hello guys,
I have posted previously on here about my need for a new PC for D3, SC2 and WOW (and future games after that in that genre). Here is the thread.
Now,
I have come up with two different builds which vary in price and would like to know if the performance difference is worth the price.
Here's the optimal build:
$220 - Intel Core i5-2500k CPU
$138 - Gigabyte GA-Z68A-D3H-B3 Intel Z68 ATX Motherboard
$48 - 8GB Corsair Vengeance DDR3 1600 1.5v
$199 - 128 GB Crucial M4 SSD
$90 - Corsair 650TX V2 650W PSU
$210 - GTX 560
$100 - Corsair Carbide series 400R ATX Case
$30 - COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 Plus RR-B10-212P-G1
$175 - Asus VH238H Black 23" LCD Monitor
Total: 1035$ (1210$ with monitor)
And the budget build:
$190 - Intel Core i5-2400 CPU
$138 - Gigabyte GA-Z68A-D3H-B3 Intel Z68 ATX Motherboard
$48 - 8GB Corsair Vengeance DDR3 1600 1.5v
$76 – Hitachi i HDS721050CLA362 500GB 7200RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive
$59 - Antec NEO ECO 620C 620W Continuous Power ATX12V v2.3
$189 - XFX Double D HD-687A-ZDFC Radeon HD 6870 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI
$49 - NZXT Source 210 Elite White Steel with painted interior ATX Mid Tower
$175 - Asus VH238H Black 23" LCD Monitor
Total : 749$ (924$ with monitor)
As a second question, is there parts that are more reliable / better and/or cheaper that I could switch for the budget version? Maybe the Mobo / processor / video card / ram ?
Thanks again for suggestions.
