Two 1080p's or One 1440p?

I have a 770 2gb and two 24" 1080p monitors: an Asus lightboost and a regular 60hz Asus.

I hate how washed out the colors are on the lightboost when enabled. I've been running it at 144hz non-strobed lately because it's so bad. I could sell them both and get close to the QNIX 27' that overclocks well. Are the colors better on the QNIX monitor?

It'll be harder to run ~100fps at 1440p and my 2gb of ram concerns me. I mostly play Dayz and will play GTA when it comes out. I will miss having the Dayz map on one screen and the game on the other. Maybe I should just save and keep my 24" 60hz..
 
The QNIX is an IPS panel so it will naturally have better colours than the ASUS TN. I assume you have the VG248QE? The TN panel in it is of pretty poor quality.

With a GTX 770 I would stick with 1080p, especially if you're keen on running in triple digit framerates. You could step into the 27" VG278HE for around the same price as the QNIX, but it is still a TN (but much better than the panel in the VG248QE). But you get flawless 144Hz out of the box and you still have the option of Lightboost should you so choose. My experience with Lightboost on this monitor is that brightness is the only thing affected. Colours and contrast are still as good as non-Lightboost.

It's really your decision to make. Can you live without an accesory monitor, or do you want more screen real estate for your games? For me, the larger screen is well worth it, even if it still is 1080p. I'll never get another monitor that is smaller than 27" going forward.
 
You might consider going with a 21:9 monitor - the 29" ones are the same vertical height as a 24" monitor but with about ~25% more width.
