I don't know a thing about TV Tuners that can encode, but I think I want to grab one for my PC. My budget is $125 right now.

What would you recommend?

Thanks,

Are you looking for HD or regular tv? If regular TV I can recommend a Hauppauge tv tuner card. I didnt really like the software it came with. It was fine for watching TV but for encoding I use Intervideo WinDVR. The card I have is old, so they probably dont sell it anymore. It also has an FM tuner. If I were you I would find one you like, then look on ebay for it. Even if you dont get a Hauppauge, you should be find a Tv Tuner for under $125.

shameless self promotion ;)

for SD content, get a hauppauge pvr150 for $50-70
for HD content get a Dvico fusion 5 lite for $100

if you have the $125 budget, I suggest this bundle...

For the win. For HD I would expand that to the Vbox Cateye tuner and the Avermedia tuner, word from the SageTV guys was that they, suprisely, gave the best signal quality.
