TV Tuner delay issues

Does anyone know how to get rid of the annoying 1/2 second delay on ATi TV tuners? I have an ATi TV Wonder Pro, and the lag makes it almost impossible to play racing games and whatnot with my XBOX. I've been told it has something to do with the PVR functions, but I can't see any menu to adjust the settings. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Why are you playing your xbox through it? the image quality will be worse and putting the PC in the mix eliminates the ease fo a console gaming experience. If you are looking to play your xbox on your monitor, get a transcoder. Best one out there for the xbox is the x2vga. If you are looking to capture gameplay to an Mpeg for sharing/viewing, split the video signal. one to the TV, one to the PC.
