$130 is a lot of money. Are there cheaper ones that still hold good quality. I was reading 3rd party software can help the cards greatly on some of the cheaper ones.
The ATI software that comes with the TV Wonders and the AIWs is the best bundled software around, and the remote is the most compatible with 3rd party software.
I wouldn't recommend waiting till next year to get a hdtv card. ATI's card is more than likely going going to recognize the broadcast flags that go into effect next year. Some info on broadcast flags
I have a tv card in my pc. I only use it to watch, not to record, so I dont know how well it does that feature. I paid 40 bucks for my card. viewing quality is excellent cause I have a good monitor.
I think mine is called AverTV. thats what the software is at least.
