Im looking to buy a HDTV tuner card for my PC. It needs to be pci express and around $50 if possible. I have looked on newegg some, but many have negative reviews. Do any of you have any recommendations?

I generally stick with the Hauppauge brand, and there are some in the $50-65 range on Newegg. If you can bump your budget up another $50, then you'd have a much better selection; though without any list of required features, it's impossible to guess what the right fit would be.

Also consider PM'ing a mod to move this to the "Home Theater PCs & Equipment" forum to get a more focused group to advise.

My recommendation is not to buy products based on reviews from Newegg.

+1 to this. TV Tuner cards (video capture cards) are a niche hardware category, and trusting the general public to understand what the freak they're doing is a lot to ask.

I have a hauppauge 2250 and it's been nothing but reliable. Make sure you buy a non-OEM product if you want the WinTV software, it's definitely worth getting.
