have my main PC (w/ Ti4200 VIVO latest drivers, XP SP2) in my living room at home (smaller apartment, you know how it is) and obviously I use it to play all my bought and rented DVDs which I pay gross amounts of money for. I also have a 5 way A/V switchbox that I use to swtich between the PC, Dreamcast, GameCube, VCR, etc.

My issue is:
Every time I switch the A/V away from the PC, it automatically loses the clone display setting. Now I know this isn't a all-videocards feature, because another PC I just built with a GT6600 doesn't do it, and mine witha MX440 doesn't either. It's really annoying, because my GF and frinds want to watch movies too, and every time they have to call me at work and get me to walk though the setup of clone display again. I've looked around but can't find the setting to lock in the preference.

Any help?

PS - Also, my other PCs don't give the blue-box effect on media playing on the clone display, but this one does (ex. any move in WMP/divx player, etc will only play on the primary display, the monitor, but just give a blue/black box on the TV) Of course there's the annoying option of "play on my TV" which does automatic overlay to the TV, but that isn't always possible or prefered. Any solutions for this?

I have a similar problem.

I have my PC connected to the TV via a "scart" box, so I can switch between my DVD player,VCR,digibox and the PC. I`ve noticed that the PC won`t pick up the TV on start up - I have to manually goto desktop-->settings-->advanaced--> enable TV for it to work.

I think it works if,when I first boot the PC,Its the switch was set to my PC...if its left on DVD for example it won`t work.
