Hey guys, I just bought a 42' tv and want to mount it it the wall. Can anyone recommend me good wall mounts? I looked on Amazon and see ones that actually have really good ratings even though they are only $25-30.

Depends on what one needs and where he wishes to mount. There are different models with different count of axis screen can be turned/pivoted, at different arm length, different mount type, different supported tv size/weight and so on and on ..

I only plan to put it above my desk where I can sit back on my bed and watch from there. It only needs to tilt, I do not need it to adjust much besides that.

So search for something like 'monitor desk mount arm'. And check for how big/heavy monitor it can support, which easily can be issue with some bigger ones.

I've been using one of the cheap Amazon wall mounts to hold up my 37" DT30 (~28lbs) for the past 3 years. Mounted it directly into a corner wall stud with the lag screws, and it's been very secure so far.

This is a newer variation from the same manufacturer, as mine has rotational adjustment (ie, portrait/landscape, but doesn't sit as close to the wall), but it's the same link from my Amazon order history. My dad has the newer version for an old 32" (not sure the model/weight), and it seems to be working just as well..
