Alright heres the deal. I've had this problem for quite some time, and it hasn't always been like this. My monitor's resolution is set at 1280x1024, same goes for my tv. If I take it down to 640x480, it fits onto my tv. Otherwise, I'd have to use the auto-panning crap. Is there any way I could keep my monitor at 1280x1024 and my tv at whatever, and be able to view all of my desktop on my tv? I hope you guys understand my problem.

Thanks.

What video card? Normally ATI or Nvidia have a display wizard you can run to customize that stuff. You should be able to run them at seperate resolutions. The tricky part though is will you be cloning your desktop or extending it? That may determine whether or not you can do them at seperate resolutions.

Your TV shouldnt be 1280x1024.. that is a 5:4 aspect.. non-widescreen TVs are 4:3

The equivilent aspect on the monitor would be 1280x960.

I've got the MSI NX6600GT-TDE 128mb AGP 8X. It's got the DVI, VGA, RGB, and S-Video for outputs. I'm using the S-Video on an older TV that I'd like to do is clone. Setting my preferences to clone isn't the problem. Even playing movies isn't the problem, infact they play just fine. I just can't view my desktop or programs fully. I'd need to move my mouse in order to see the other parts.

Now, I've got my monitor for all my application, gaming etc., but If I'm using Snapstream Media or Beyond TV, then I've got an issue.
