Hello all. I have been researching displays with included tuners for a year or two now and I am very cost conscientious. This question is for those who have been paying even more attention ( I know you hang around here. :) ) My question is, generally, are current television prices overpriced or were they under-priced over the few prior months? I have been tracking several displays and have noticed the +$100 spike these late months compared to the prices of each a few months prior.
Were they just undrerpriced before or are they just overpriced for the time being?
I am looking for hints; when is the best time to buy?
I have read somewhere that there was a recent market surplus in LCD TV's (which is explanation for the drastic pricing changes) - think it will happen again?

You are doing the right thing by tracking prices, but you left out something. They moved the digital conversion date to June 12th, so TV prices will be higher than normal until fall or maybe even after Christmas. This is why I went ahead and pulled the trigger last year. They are going milk the transition for all it is worth. Once we get through the holiday buying season, prices should drop agood bit.
