I'm looking for a TV/Capture card that can input 480p/720p/1080p and display it through your computer. Not directly to your monitor like X2VGA or HDFury. This would solve a couple of problems.
For people with CRTs (specifically FW900) it would solve the issues of low refresh rates. A Wii at 640x480@60Hz would look like ass on a CRT. 1080p looks "ok" from my XBox360 but it would look better at 95Hz with no flicker and you wouldn't have to stretch the display to get the correct aspect ratio.
For people with LCDs it would solve the problem of 16:9 aspect ratios not supported by 90% of today's monitors.... 1680x1050 or 1920x1200.
I'm guessing there are probably legal issues for not having an HDMI TV Card, but why the hell can't I find one with Component? Am I not looking hard enough?
