Turniq Tower Fan replaceable?

Yes, it is.

If you look at the unit, you will see that the heatsink is what attaches to your motherboard. If you unscrew the screws that come with the heatsink, you can lift up on the black top plate. Assuming you have disconnected your fan connections, you should be able to lift the fan out of the assembly. You'll see that the fan is held in place via screws, so after a few minutes work with a screwdriver, you should be able to take the old fan out.

You should be able to replace the manufacturer provided fan with something like a Yates Loon.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the reply...

Couldn't tell from your post, but it sounds like you CAN remove the fan w/o removing the HS from the motherboard? Just remove the top plate??

Yep!

I replaced my Tuniq fan with the silverstone 9 fin fan. It's great - a lot louder than the stock fan at 100%, but at all other settings, it is quieter and cools more efficiently than the stock fan.

The only reason I changed it was the fan controller on my Tuniq fan wasn't working - so it was stuck at 100% and the noise was killing me. (specifically, the variable resistor was working correctly, but the cable to the fan must have had a bad connection).
