Anyone know of any utilities that you can use to turn up the volume on the rear speakers? I'm using a SoundBlaster Live 5.1 sound card. My rear speakers are non powered and want to try to find a way of turning up the volume. I am planning on getting a cmoy audio amp put together as well.
 
Use your soundcard driver software to adjust the volume. Somewhere in the options should be level adjust for each channel, just either boost the rears, or lower the fronts.
 
you know that CMOY's are headphone amps? not speaker amps... right?
 
Yeah, I know, but these are cheap stereo speakers. The main stereo is broke, so I found a use as my rear speakers. Just need to increase the power to them. Can barely hear them at all atm.
Getting the amp built into an old parallel switch box which I gutted. I got the things set for where they'll go on the outside, but know didly about electronics assembly to get the cmoy built.
