does it make a huge difference when i turn hyperthreading on or off. and would it benifit me more to overclock with HTT on?

Are you talking about your cpu? The conroe doesnt have hyperthreading. If your referring to a pentium that does, most of the time you see a 10-30% increase in speed with it than without, but sometimes in single threaded apps its actually slower when left on. Depends on the application really.
 
you'll see a change of about -5% to 40% depending on the application, and what's going on in the background ;).
