I have a HP dv6 6117dx with an AMD A8-3500m cpu that is stock at 1.5ghz but with turbo core it is capable of overclocking up to two cores to 2.4ghz when needed. I recently upgraded the memory from 4gb to 8gb and now turbo core is not working. I noticed this because my cpu WEI went from 6.6 to 6.1 and when I check sure enough no cores go above 1.5ghz ever. Can someone explain this to me? is there a way to enable turbo core again? I don't want to use k10 stat to overclock because I don't want to mess with voltages, I value long battery life and don't want to worry about heat or system stability.
