Hi,
I have been looking over the usual suspects and can't seem to find anyone who has a Tuniq in stock. Does anyone know of a source in the USA?

Thanks!

Wow Monk! Now I see what you mean when you told me about the unique design of that. Pretty awesome.

dude i am stupid...........i should have got the tuniq but instead i got this stupid sythe infinity....and is complete bull ........but i love how the fan on the tuniq goes into the fins......nice storage idea////////donet have to worry about any northbridge, ram, blocking the way

yea NO ONE GET THE INFINITY WITH THE EVGA 680i mobo because it doesnt fit the way its supposed to with the north birdge on the mobo..........then when you put ram in you can put the fan on that side because it blocks it.................

i hate it......i need to buy the tuniq.......

i hate this stupid thing..........

Well... I ordered a tuniq 120 off of xpcgear.com on Jan 8th. Hasn't been shipped yet so I called their customer support. The only way I could find their number was to get it off of BBB.org which is kind of scary. But, the guy said they were out of stock and that they were gonna get a shipment in tomorrow. Kind of wish they had mentioned that on their website, but oh well. Hopefully he wasn't full of BS.

Actually, I just got this e-mail 10 minutes ago:

Dear Valued Customer,

Thank you for shopping at xPCgear.com, Justin

Unfortunately, we currently do not have the Sunbeam Tuniq Tower 120 Copper Base CPU Cooler for Intel Socket 478, LGA775, 775/T and AMD Socket 754, 939, 940 (Retail) (CC93SBTQT120) and we estimate receiving this CPU Cooler on Thursday 1/11/07.

We will give you a free shipping upgrade to 2 Day service for this inconvenience and your order will be shipped when we receive this item unless you contact us to do otherwise.

Again, we thank you for your interest and we look forward to a continuing relationship with you in the future. Please feel free to contact us for further assistance.

Sincerely,

xPCgear.com - Support

Hopefully the shipment doesn't get delayed....

Same exact thing just happened to me. Placed my order on the 7th since they made it look like they had Tuniq Towers in stock. XPCGear charged my card on the 8th which generally means your order has shipped. Didn't hear a word so I sent an inquiry email them the morning of the 9th. They replied at 9pm that nite telling me "sorry but your item isn't in stock right now but we should have them back in stock on the 11th". I called in and cancelled my order the next morning.

That same morning I placed an order for a Tuniq thru Petra. It shipped to me the next day so it should be here maybe today or tomorrow.

XPCGear didn't have too bad a rating on Resellerratings.com. It wasn't a sparkling rating but it wasn't bad either. Hopefully they don't hit me with a restocking fee or take forever to credit my money back to me. I just chalk this up to experience. I'm used to dealing with Newegg. I took a chance on an untested source and it didn't work out.

Its not that I was in a big rush to get this cooler. I still am waiting for parts to show up at my doorstep. It was more that Tuniq's are in short supply these days. Stores sellout of this cooler the same day they get them. I was just trying to get a hold of one while stores still had them.

Yea... I'm gonna give em a call when I get home. Hopefully they're in stock. I have to get this before the 30 day refund runs out on my zalman 9500...

Gave them a call and they're supposedly shipping them out today. I think tuniq must of shipped a bunch of cpu coolers cause newegg has the 120 in stock now, which kind of sucks because I wish I had simply waited and bought from them instead. Oh well.

They just got them in today and I got an email this afternoon that said they had shipped it.

Yup... I called them and apparently they had to send out like 20 e-mails telling people they would get upgraded shipping and that they had a shipment coming in on thursday. Anyway, I'm just glad it's out and shipped. To be honest with you, I thought they were just lying to me and that this would turn into a disaster. They kind of suckered people into buying from their website by not specifying if it was out of stock or not. Not the best business practices but at least they upgraded the shipping and the support was pretty decent. If it comes here and all goes well I might even buy from them again... If newegg and zipzoomfly are both out of stock that is :D

hey now, I have used both and honestly the Tuniq is only a little bit better in terms of temps I got in my system, but the size was an issue in my old antec case. I have a Lian Li now and could put it back on, but just to lazy to have to pull the board back out to do so. Either one in my opinion will server your purpose.
