tuniq tower in microfly?

can the tuniq tower fit in the microfly if the railing is removed? Tuniq tower is one of the best heatsinks and it would be great to be able to use it in a sff.
 
You might have luck with it. The largest HSF I could find to fit in it without a mod is the Zalman 7700series, with just mm to spare in vertical clearance. If you remove the crossbars, since the case is made of aluminum, you better not plan on picking up by the handle...or moving it at all. The aluminum that they use is only 1.0 or 1.5mm (can't recall) thick, and already has a lot of flex in it. Without the cross-brace, and packing in some weight like a tuniq, you're asking for the case to warp when moved. Perhaps think of and implement some sort of custom cross brace, if you're going to cut out the one that's already there. Back to the original issue, yes...I believe it will fit, but be careful!
 
i'm pretty sure it would fit, but more than likely you will have to intall the heatsink with the mobo tray already in the case. with some trimming i was able to fit an xp90 in my qpack and i could still slide my mobo tray in and out. however, the fins barely cleared the case when i slide the mobo tray in and i had to install my fan after everything was already in the case.
 
Why don;t you buy Thermaltake Silent Water. I think it is cheaper that Tuniq and perform better, not to mention no need to worry about size.
 
that silent water looks like a good deal. cheap too. But does the radiator fit in a microfly? I know that the micro has 120mm area for the rad but does it fit? I might go with this kit if it does. I just need something that matches highend air performance. So this cheap wc kit looks good. Can anyone confirm if the 120mm area in the microfly has these dimensions? 163 x 121 x 35. That is the dimension required for this wc to fit.
 
i believe someone on these forums did this to a qpack a while back and mounted a 120mm rad on the back of the case using the holes for the 120mm fan, might wanna search for it.
