Tuniq Tower Backplate

I have recently swapped out my motherboard due to it being defective and it took an act of congress to get the old backplate off of my dead board. In the process though, the adhesive tape was pretty much destroyed so I have to reapply some.

My question is this - does it matter what kind double sided tape I use? What about the thickness? What about any heat generated?

What do you guys recommend to re-attach the backplate for my Tuniq Tower 120?
 
don't know if this is relevant to your question.. but my ultra-120 back plate worked fine for my tuniq tower when i was playing around... there was no adhesive tape at all on my ultra-120 backplate.... which leads me to believe you don't need. it...

but if you plan on using some... the most important thing is to use somethig along the lines of electrical tape... which is non-conductive.
