Tuning up software...?

I got a slow PC I need to do some tune up/tweaks on and I've been out of the loop for a while and forgot what I used to do so. Any software you guys can recommend? Preferably freeware please...

It's a Win 7 PC.

Hiya. I'm not qualified to give you step by step tuning advice, I just use guides that seem to be trustworthy. But I can't stress enough: Tuneup apps are useless, at least in my opinion. Others here might have a good one to suggest.

Best bet? More RAM and an SSD for your boot drive.
