My new rig, which is also my first WC endeavor is mostly picked out. I'll probably be going with some of the primoflex UV blue, that or some type of masterkleer 7/16. The real question though, is how many feet would i have to order to successfully do everything (adding in any mistakes I might make forcing a recut)?

10ft was good enough for me with a cpu/gpu loop with 2ft leftover. Although I ordered about 50ft more for later use 
A safe way to guestimate is to assume each connection requires roughly 3 feet worth of tubing.
So if you need to connect a res->pump->radiatior->cpu block, then get about 12 feet worth of tubing. It's not scientific but just a rough rule of thumb I follow.
Since, this is your first attempt, I'd double that amount in case you miscut or measure things out wrong. Better to have more than enough than to have to wait a few more days for a resupply AND pay for shipping again.
yea especially with tubing, its better to be safe than sorry. i picked up 20ft of masterkleer tubing and will be assembling my revised loop tomorrow when i get my fittings from petras.
i also ordered 2 additional things of swiftech's hydrx coolant additive JUST to have in case i needed more for whatever. draining my loop is a frickin pain, and i usually lose about 25% in the process.

Masterkleer is really cheap (but really good for its price), so it won't hurt that much to order some extra of it. Tygon on the other hand... better be pretty precise!

Yeaaahhh I'm not planning on retubing for a while. Last build lasted me a year before I wanted to upgrade. And anyways, I cant see squat that's going on in my loop with the black tygon so what I cant see cant hurt me....... right?!
