I am in the middle of my purchase setup, and curious if there would be difference in performance 1/2 ID vs 3/8 ID setup.

The reason for this inquire is that my pump is a swiftech with 3/8 barbs, and wondering if i could put an adapter on it for 1/2.

My radiator has 1/2 inch barbs, OR would should find an adapter to reduce the barbs to 3/8 ID.

What would be the best solution

cheers

if it was me it'd depend what case i had... i only have a danger den water box and it looked stupid with massive 1/2 tubing in it so i used the bigger 3/8 type tubing with 5/8 O.D and it looks just right.if you have a massive case then get 1/2.. you can get converters easy enough. my temps from the 3/8 to the 1/2 were only a couple of degrees difference so not much difference to me. yes the flow rate would be better in a 1/2 system but dont expect any substantial temp advantages over a 3/8 system.
