anyone know where i can get some 1/2"

UV PURPLE tubing????

i don't really want to settle for blue! and i don't want to do the dye thing!

i'd like some decent quality without breaking the bank, but if it's purple i'll pay a bit more to find it. also, i'm using koolance 1/2" compression fittings so i don't think that the thicker of the two "OD" sizes is gonna work.

any help, or thought would be much appreciated!

I would say... good luck finding a purple color. A quick check on performance-pc shows no purple tubing, and in my experience, they tend to carry almost anything and everything related to cases, cooling, water cooling, etc.

Man,,,,,i can't change up the fittings i have to go 3/8", although i guess i should've looked at the end result in determining how the 'color' scheme play's out.?.?.?.... i just can't believe that there is that much of a selection decrease in goin' the 1/2" route!?!?!?!???????

Have you considered using dyed water? I don't personally like water dyes, as most people will mention that it stains, but it's not that harmful if you really want that UV purple look. You can pair UV purple water dye with any clear tubing and get your effect.

i've been torpedoe'd with serious reasons for NOT using dye's or dye bomb's.
enough so that im' going to use distilled water and silver.
any personal exp on the above or whatever?

No I don't think it's UV, but good luck finding 1/2 ID purple tubing, in general, anywhere else. :D

Hmm... that looks like automotive tubing, so it should be fairly flexible without kinking too much. In my experience, that's the way they are (my dad is a mechanic). 25 feet for $8 is a pretty good price, considering most tubing rated for computers is well over $1.50 per foot.

Edit: ummm... a quick google search on convoluted tubing shows that it is designed to protect electrical wires. Not sure it would be up to the task of handling a water system. Most likely it would be too weak to handle the pressures.
 
IF you can get it for that!! it's more like $1.79-$2.50+.

i'll start to look a bit at the 'bigger' picture and expand my search(ing/es).

Hehe, convoluted tubing is NOT what you want. It's split down the entire length. Designed to wrap over the outside of wires. You could certainly wrap it over the outside of regular water tubing but I'm not sure that's the look you're going for.
