Hi Everyone,

I have everything I need for my first water endeavor, the ID is 3/8, now I haven't been able to find what the outer diameter should be.

Exactly what's the purpose of a thicker or thinner OD? and how do I decide what size I should be using?

Also, what would be the recommended hose clamps that you would suggest?

Thanks

Hey, you can go with 1/2" OD or 5/8". If you go with 5/8" you might get better bend radius but be sure that it's soft PVC like tygon or primoflex. I'd personally would go with 1/2" since it's more standard and it'll be less bulky, and the bend radius is pretty good. The other advantage of 1/2" OD is that you can use it with compression fittings.

For clamps go with these:
