started with assembling, got everything in the case now im just wondering if i have to connect the LED's. there's a power connector for the fan, i connected that but there's also a thinner connector and i hav no idea where to connect it, i've checked both the case's and mobo's manual (ASUS A8N SLi Deluxe) some1 help me out!
 
I'm a little confused. What cable are you trying to connect? Do you have pics that could make things a little clearer?

 
ok, like from the intake fans there is one 4-pin connector its pretty big and connects straight to the PSU, and there is another connector (the fans have LED's) its much smaller and 3-pin....do i have to connect these to somewhere on the mobo? i'll post some pics when i get back from skool....
 
well, most likely the three pin connector you're talking about only has on wire running to it. This is because the fan needs the power from the psu (the fat molex connector), but the three pin is able to plugged into your motherboard or fan controller so you can monitor the RPM. Lower powered fans usually are able to draw enough power from the three pin connector, and are therefore plugged into your motherboard only (i.e. stock cpu hsfs). There are many different connectors on the motherboard for the threepin fan connector. Check in your manual for a diagram of the mobo, and you'll see them listed.

If you connect the threepin to your mobo, you aren't going to be drawing any extra power for the fan; you will only be allowing RPM monitoring.

QFT. In short, you have two options: either use the four-pin molex, or three-pin connector.
