trying to setup SATA drive

im trying to build a new computer here, everything is up and running and now im trying to install windows, i have 2 HD's a SATA wich is connected to a SATA port on my motherboard and a IDE hardrive wich of course is connected to a IDE channel, now when i boot up my computer says my SATA drive is an IDE device and when i go to windows installation it sees both of my drives but even if i select to format and install windows on my SATA drive it goes ahead anf formats my IDE drives,

whats going on here does anyone know how i can fix this and install windows on my SATA drive?

Disconnect the IDE drive but leave the SATA attached. Then try installing windows. Install the IDE after you have windows set up and everything. If you have some recognition problems with your SATA drive, check out your mobo manufacturer site in case they have new SATA drivers. You might have to add them via floppy or usb flash drive.

yeah i think i my need to install the SATA drivers, but i dont know how to do that? can someone guide me on how to install the drivers for SATA drive

also my motherboard( MSI K8N NEO4 SLI) came with 2 floppy disks for SATA raid controllers, are these the SATA drivers, im not sure because both disks say SATA RAID
 
You have to hit f6 when it tells you during the windows install process to load the drivers off of the floppies.
