I've got my i7 902 d0 overclocked at 20x180 (turbo takes it to 21x180) now with a Vcore of 1.3. It is Prime95 stable for 24 hours+ (with max temps never crossing 65).
As a personal goal, I wanted to push this thing to 4GHz, but just taking the processor to 20x190 caused me to have to increase my Vcore beyond 1.4, and it still isn't Prime95 stable for a full minute at that point. Temperature-wise, I'm still in the low low 30s when idle with the higher overclock, and before I blue-screen, the temps are still under 70 (and seem to have hit their plateau).
At what voltage should I give up and go back to what I know is a stable setting and just be done with it? How high of a voltage is too high if the heat is still being properly dissipated?
