I'm about 95% sure that my opteron 170 is stable at 2.4ghz at stock voltage of 1.35v. I'm trying to get close to 2.7ghz at around 1.55v, but prime95 seems to error after like 15mins on only one of the cores. Is it possible that my voltage is too low or even too high. I think I've tried lower voltages but prime95 errors almost instanlty in the 1.4-1.475 range. Going by this, I would say that my voltage is not too high. Correct? I think I could give it as much voltage as I needed to up to at the max 1.6v. Anything higher than that I think I wouls screw things up. I've seen people on forums and such that have needed 1.6v or so to reach 2.7ghz on an opteron 170 so I know I'm not alone. I am using a Zalman CNPS9500-led for my hsf. I'm dual prime 95'ing right now at 2.65ghz @ 1.55v and the temp doesn't go above 50 degrees. Would 1.6v be overkill and mess up my processor or does it look like my temps would allow it. I'm kinda afraid to leave it priming overnight cause when it errors only 1 normally does and the other core keeps going. Would this hurt anything? Is there anyway to stop the test on the other core when one core gets an error and stops anyway?
