I saw one at microcenter once, had no walls was basically just shelves on a metal base, I'm having trouble finding any others like this anyone happen to know where to look?
 
Are you looking for a test bench like these or just a bare chassis with no front bezel or side panels?
 
Not that I know of. Like you said, you could make your own. I don't think it would be very hard either considering it's basically two pieces of wood, 4 metal bars, some screws and stand offs.
