dpreview comparison

Casio Exilim EX-Z120 ($245)
Panasonic DMC-LZ2 ($195)
Sony DSC-W5 ($245)
Sony DSC-S90 ($200)

I need something that takes AAs, and 2 is better than 4 for battery life and for size. I'm looking in the 4-6MP range and prefer SD cards, but the Sony's look nice.

The Z120 looks good in all respects. But can I get away with an equally good camera for $50 less?

The Panasonic looks perfect (6x optical with IS) except for the low resolution movie mode, compared to the 30fps vga movies of the other 3.

The S90 is nice but it's a little big, lowest resolution, and still takes memory sticks.

The W5 is just all around nice, but I'd probably take the Z120 over it.

I was looking at the Canon A610 but it's bigger than I'd like.

What do you all think?

the Canon A95 seems to fit the bill nicely. the A610 is the replacement for it.

cept for the video part.
