I play @1920x1200 with 12 G Ram @ 3.6GHZ though.

I have no need for GTX-580 at this resolution.
I had a 570 and switched to the same card you have in your link.
Less power, less heat and Eyefinity support with unlocked shaders.
Plus I can overclock if needed. Win Win

thanks, I take it the unlocking wasnt hard then. Iv never owned ati before, always nvidia so just a little worried. FYI this will go into a i7 2600k system. I just want to get the most out of what ever card.
 
You can't go wrong and the money you save can go towards the next new thing in 1st Quater 2012 if you want
 
My suggestion would be this
MSI N560GTX-Ti 448 Twin Frozr III PE/OC

Less than the gtx570, but with a very easy overclock it will be faster than a stock 570

I just bought one and it works great.

Can it go 3 moniters?
Just wondering.
OP did not spec for 3 though I know.
