Is the screen size for an L90D+, the height of it, actually less than a 2005fpw? I couldn't find the measurement of the actual screen dimensions, just its size (19inch / 20inch) Obviously Dell is bigger overall...but it seems that Dell gets that inch by being shorter up top and longer on the sides....

EDIT - Smaller viewing area eh? HMMM....I'm big time gamer......anyone care to comment?

I'm not positive but I believe that the Dell is shorter, so when you run games in 4:3 mode, you'll have a smaller viewing area.

A 20" 16:10 panel has a dimension of 433.4mm x 270.9mm
A 19" 5:4 panel has a dimension of 376.3mm x 301.1mm
A 20" 4:3 panel has a dimension of 408.0mm x 306.0mm

A lot of games support WS resolutions so that you have a wider horizontal FOV. With a 20" 4:3 panel, which is only 1" less wide as compared to the 16:10 model, you can in many games manually adjust the FOV so that you get a similar widescreen picture, but with additional picture top and bottom.

So if I am going from a Del 1800fp (18.1") to a 2005fps(20.1") how much bigger is this screen viewing size?

The 1800FP is 359.04mm x 287.23mm. So the 2005FPW is about 13.8% larger physically, though significantly more pixels (34.6%). The 2001FP would be 21% larger than the 1800FP physically and even more pixels yet (46.4%).
