Trying to backup some data...

So I've got this old computer from a friend that doesn't work. I've narrowed it down to a bad motherboard and she doesn't want to fix it. However, she has pictures on it that she wants to keep from her grand daughter and other family pictures. I've got most of them, but I'm having trouble accessing the Administrators My Documents directory. How can I get around this limit?

I simply put the hard drive in my computer as a slave (Its an old PATA drive, so I'm guessing this is probably a Windows XP install) and my computer is running Windows 7 Pro.

I simply can't seem to get in.
