Trying to accent my industrial theme

Hello. I've recently had an idea for a mod i'd like to try, but i'm having trouble tracking down parts. The mod is this; i'd like to replace the window in my box with 2 pieces of plexi. between the plexi would be a set of gears, meshed together so that when one spins they all spin. I'd have one gear driven by a small motor and probably have that hooked into my combination rheobus/7/12V fanbus. Anyway, the problem comes in the fact that i'm having a hell of a time tracking down small brass gears. any place i've found that sells them are custom made so they cost a fortune. the only place i can think of that i might be able to get them cheaply is a clockshop. anybody else out there have any useful information for me? Thanks.

Thanks, i appreciate it. I'll post some photos if i get it done soon. I'm kind of pressed for time what with work and a trip and school starting in August.
 
My financial status is currently "broke ass" so it will be awhile before i get to do this. I've found many places for gears, but nothing quite fancies me yet. I was hoping to find some thing brass clockwork gears, but they seem to be harder to come across than i expected. I need to make friends with a machinist at school and have some made ;)
