Trusted PSU?

I didn't know where to put this but would a RAIDMAX PSU be a good buy. I was at Fry's and spotted a 400w Raidmax PSU for $50 + Tax. Any opinions?

Ouch, $50? Hit up the Egg. I've heard Raidmax is good- but definately look for a better price.

Enermax makes some pretty good PSU with a little extra lenght to the wires, you might not need something like that though. Try and find a better price on that Raidmax one though.

Is raidmax really good?
I have a raidmax case, (frys sells these quite enthuasticly) and the 400watt psu in it seems to be like getting very hot. Well.. if its not considered hot, its definitely warmer than most psus... think mine has a short or a broken fan in there.

its not bad, is a few bucks less than the others including shipping, and is more powerful.....despite what the reviews say its not really any noisier than any other power supply

Go and check out an Antec Truepower 380 or 430. They are quiet and well built. The 380 goes for $55 at Newegg.

you can get a 350 W PC Power and Cooling PS from their website.

It is $70 plus shipping.

If you want a 350W get that one and eliminate any guesswork.

go get urself an ENLIGHT 420w for $43 at www.newegg.com when i bought it ... it was 50+ .... this psu is quality + low price... you can pretty much tell that its good when u open the box... its HEAVY like an enermax... and its very quiet as well... also, it comes with alot of wires/connectors unlike raidmax... I can pretty much match this psu with my other enermax and cost alot less..... it kindda looks/perform like an enermax... i was very supprise by this psu... and its ALOT better constructed than RaidMax... dont waste ur money on raidmax/powmax/generic psu...
