I dabble in 3D modelling, and yesterday I finally reinstalled trueSpace 6.
I know it is a slightly buggy app (I can't afford MAX, and I like the UI anyway), but generally speaking it was pretty stable when I was using nVidia cards. This is the first time I've used it with my X1900XT, and it's not going well. Using Cat 6.3 is impossible - OpenGL display mode doesn't even work, and it crashes the instant I do anything which alters the display under Direct3D. OpenGL works using 6.2b, but it still crashes when the display changes. I've restored the default settings and tried the various AI modes, to no avail.
This is the only driver-related issue I've had so far (I'm fairly sure it's a driver problem), but it's a real pain. Is anyone else out there using trueSpace 6 with an X1K card? I've already lost my HDR+AA in Oblivion in pursuit of getting this to work, so I'm hoping someone out there will have some tips. Anyone?
