i have just had my second pump fail on me so im thinking of ditching the water all together how far behind watercooling is the TRUE or any air cooler of that spec many thanks for any replys
 
a lot more people use air cooling now thanks to today's heatsinks, it's not all that far behind, the load temps will be higher obviously so you can't push it as much as water, but you can definately get some good results.
 
Been very pleased with my TRUE, can cool my i7 920 at stock passively with case fans nearby :)

Marginally better. And they're usually sold out from most places that carry them.

Yes, high-end air cooling isn't that much behind water cooling. Not as far behind as it was a few years ago.
