TRUE-120 on LGA2011

I've currently got a LGA775 system with a TRUE-120 (not Spirit) and was wondering if it would be possible to use the HSF on an LGA2011 system some how. I know Thermalright released a Retention kit for LGA2011 but it says it's only compatible with HR-02 Macho, True Spirit 120 , True Spirit 140.

So how feasible would it be to use my TRUE-120 on LGA2011? (I would be willing to mod it if it would work)
 
I had an Archon with 2 140mm Silverstone Air Penetrators on it in push/pull on my 3930k & it got better results than an H80. The true is a pretty good cooler too & with 2 120mm silverstones on it, it might handle 2011 cpu heat.
 
Yea, it's for a 3930K, the thing I don't know is how I'm gonna attach it to a LGA2011 motherboard.
 
Do you have this mounting kit? http://www.frozencpu.com/products/1..._Series_HR-01_True_Spirit_.html?tl=g40c14s222 If not order it & this 2011 adaptor screw set. http://www.frozencpu.com/products/1...ver_Arrow_HR-02_Venomous_X.html?tl=g40c14s222 & you should be all set. Just don't use the backplate & backplate mounting screws. Screw the new 2011 screw set into the 2011 socket holes. Then attach the silver bracket to those screws with the nuts, apply Tim, cooler, & center bracket with big round screw to hold your cooler down. Use the wrench to tighten the center screw if needed. Use the items from picture #2 thru picture#4. I think you can mount it with that.
 
Did this work? I am in the same boat? If it did could you post a pic? Let m make sure I am understanding right... don't put on the back plate or screws but put just the mounting plate (square w/ hole in it) screwed into the huge cpu casing area on the socket 2011 mobo with the other screws from the link. Then just follow the directions from the pictures?
 
A True-120 will fit on the 2011 socket by using the 1366 socket bracket.

Just like the 1156 bracket for the TRUE-120 will work on a 1155 socket mobo.
