Troubleshooting without a POST

One of my friends had her eMachines T2615 computer (ECS LVMM2 motherboard, Athlon XP 1800+, 512 MB RAM, most everything onboard) die suddenly a few days ago. The computer won't even POST any more. Everything is connected and seated properly, but all the computer does is turn on the CPU fan. I've tried replacing the power supply and memory, but nothing changes. Any ideas on troubleshooting further without randomly starting swapping parts?

Try removing either the ram or vid card.
Do you get any bios beeps for the missing part.
If no beeps then with either part removed then its probably Mobo and/or CPU.

Luck........... :D
