Troubleshooting for Connecting iPod for disk use!

This isn't going to be as noob as it sounds, so hear me out :p

I need help connecting my iPod to a PC for disk use (and yes, I do have disk use enabled!) I'm sure not computer-illiterate by any mean, but this problem is really bugging me, I can't seem to fix it!

Anyhow, my iPod connects and works fine at my home PC, and other computers I connect it to, it just won't connect to one specific PC I need to connect to (I have files that are very large and need the 60 gig hard drive to transport them). I have connected this iPod to the computer many times without problems, but all of the sudden it stopped working, and I can't seem to get it to work.
I've tried the basic, rebooting the PC, rebooting the iPod, trying different USB ports, updating drivers, etc. I know it isn't the computer specifically either, as my USB thumb drive still is works.

When I connect, it is sort of recognized. By that I mean that the device manager sees it as an Apple iPod, but it does not show up as an external storage device like it should, and used to.

The only thing I could think of that was causing this problem was a program that was previously installed on the computer which mounted ISOs to a designated virtual drive, etc. but I unistalled that, restarted, and still no luck.

Because my iPod will connect to every other computer I tried it on, and my otehr USB devices still work on the computer, I really don't know what it wrong.

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance guys.
 
Oh, and by the way, if it helps the computer is Windows XP, with SP2 installed, and iPod is a 60GB iPod with Video, connecting through USB 2.0.
 
does the "one computer" you have to access the IPOD with locked down? ie, is it a company PC with some sort of group policy to prevent extra devices?
 
No, it's stand alone. Not networked at all, and has no lock downs that would prevent external devices. As I mentioned, it only stopped working yesterday, I had done it numerous times before.
