ok so before on 2-2-2-5 latencys I couldn't get my FSB past 202. then I loosened the latencys to 2.5-3-3-7 and my multiplyer to 11 and I got up to 232 FSB thats around 2.55GHz (AMD 64 4000+) anyways so I put the multiplyer up to 11.5 and I get this. in prime 95.

Rounding was 0.49609375, expected less than 0.4

My voltages are 1.550 I think and I tryed 1.575 and same thing happened, Is there anything I can do to get higher or have I reached my CPU limit?

and I also tried lowering the latencys to 3-4-4-8, didn't do any good either.

Im a Noob here so someone correct me if I'm wrong...I think that there was some issue with using half multipliers. The K8N Mobo's would "fudge" the half multi by raising the FSB. I forgot where I read that. That would explain the prime failure.

Drop your FSB, and raise it up to 12x, and then raise it til you find a limit....something about those half mutlitpliers don't rub me the right way.

Ok I was playing around with it alittle more and here is what I got so far.

FSB=226
Multiplier=11.5
Voltage=1.575
Latency=2.5-3-3-7
2:1 Divider

grand total of 2.60GHz (really 2.599.8 MHz)

what do you guys think my limit?

You're probably pretty close to it, if not at it. Athlon64s (all except the FX-55) don't go much higher than 2.7GHz and that's if you're lucky enough to have a chip that gets that high. The FX-55 uses strained silicone, so it can reach higher overclocks...2.6GHz is very commendable tho, not too shabby at all ;)

yea but Im running a 4000+ so i would have expected higher... O well Its all good :D

thanks for the helo though.
