Using a maxtor 6y080p0 in a comp.usa model hd-337 external enclosure... the drive in it was my boot drive from my win.xp.pro setup that died from some motherboard/power.supply problem... anyways... i was trying to transfer some files from my wife's laptop onto it and i'm getting an error saying i have to rename the files cause the filenames are too long... how do i change it to accept the long filenames? there are already long filenames on the hard drive, but it won't let me add or change any filenames without them being in "short" format, whatever that is... any help would be GREATLY appreciated! thank you... oh her laptop is running win.xp.home... thanks again!
