I've had my two 8800GTS' for about 2 months now and was using the pre-5/14/08 drivers from Nvidia.
I tried updating to the newest version and simple installed them over the other drivers, but now I'm experiencing some lackluster performance.
I then tried to use Driver Cleaner, but apparently it's not compatible with Vista x64 and hung up while deleting files as well as caused numerous errors upon rebooting.
I was able to get the newer drivers installed, but the performance is worse than it was with the old drivers. Do you think it's because of the sloppy install, or an issue with the drivers themselves?
Is there a good driver cleaner, or another method that I can insure I have a good video card install?
Aside from the driver updating, I've been experiencing lackluster performance from these cards with my 3.0ghz quad core. I've overclocked them to 722/1069, but they still are a little underwhelming. Could my cpu be a bottleneck right now until I o/c to 3.4?
Any help would be appreciated! Thanks
