Need help with Epox 8KDA3+ RAID

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I just finished building a new box in the following configuration and I am having trouble installing Windows XP to a RAID array.

EPOX 8KDA3+ (mobo nforce 3 250 board)
ATHLON 64 3200+
2X 512 MB PC 3200
2 36 GB SATA raptors ( in an array)
2 250 GB IDE Maxtor drive (not in an array)

I have no problem creating the array with the nvida bios tool at boot and the raid checks as healthy.

The problem I am having is that after hitting F6 at boot and loading both NVDIA drivers,
when I am asked to create the install partition Windows will not recognize the partition that is created. I see the array in the list of drives but when I create the partition on it, windows states that it is not a valid windows xp partition and does not allow me to format it. Deleting and recreating the partition does not help.

Has anyone else run into this problem? I have wasted an entire day messing with this and help help you can lend would be appreciated.

Thanks

I believe the trouble that I was having was that I had updated the bios and was still trying to use the dirver that came with the original CD. When I downloaded the drivers from EPOX and used the latest BIOS it started working fine. Hope this helps.
