trojan software removal...

ive got some roommates that downloaded some stupid crap and i ended up with a nasty little trojan. its the smartsearch.ws and magicsearch.ws trojan.

i already ran the trendmicro online scan and the cwshredder program thats supposed to remove it.




its eating all my damn bandwidth. i cant get my fkn homepage back. all in all, im beyond pissed and i just need a little break. anyone have a good idea on what antivirii prog to use??????

manually add the latest definitions
manual update instructions

install to a custom directory
C:/mybad/ (or some such) alot of malware is hardcoded to search for default directories to disable scanners

Configuration Button > Initialization > Check all > Save
Scan Control > Scan Options Tab > Check all except the 2 ADS Save Config
Available Scans > select all > Start Scanning

It is going to peg your resources at 97>99%
