Hello,

I'm looking to do a triple monitor setup. Currently I have the rig in my sig.

I have a 120hz monitor, I don't want it to be Eyefinity, but rather like am extended desktop. I currently have an old monitor as a side monitor for office stuff, but would like to go maybe 3x1080. To have say internet radio/game etc. then my dual screening.

Questions,

Do all monitors need to be 120hz?
Can I run middle at 120hz, and outers at 60hz?
Will I need to upgrade my R6950 flashed to R6970 to something with more torque?

How much more card will I need? I'm not a heavy gamer (kid 3 coming down the shoot), also what extra load am I looking at having things on the side screen while gaming?

I hear ya about gaming with kid number 3 on the way. I've got two and don't do much gaming at all but when I do its a lot of fun. I would look at an R290 or GTX 780 if you want to keep the fps at 120. You might be able to get away with a 790 or GTX 770 but you will have to turn down some settings.

Basically zero extra load on the GPU with the side monitors if you just using it to keep a browser or documents open or to play music or monitor temps etc.
