Call me looney, but I want to know if this is possible;
I have an ATI X1800XTPE with 2 DVI ports, on a
Biostar TForce6100-939, which has an onboard VGA port.
If possible i would like to add a third display to this setup. Can this be done in the current configuration? So far i set Frame Buffer to 128M, and set Onboard GPU to Always Enable. After doing so, windows xp pro sp 2 detected a VGA device, and wanted drivers. However, I have installed the drivers from both the motherboard cd and the website, with no avail. When i go to the Display Properties, and click the Advanced Tab, i get an error that states,
"---------------------------
Invalid Display Settings
---------------------------
The currently selected graphics display driver can not be used. It was written for a previous version of Windows, and is no longer compatible with this version of Windows.
The system has been started using the default VGA driver. Please contact your hardware manufacturer to get an upgraded driver, or select one of the Microsoft provided drivers."
I wouldn't have thought the driver for the Geforce6100 onboard, which states its for 2k, xp, and 2003, was incompatible with xp pro sp2.. So i turn to You who might have experience in doing this.
Check back with you tomorrow.
