Tried open-e Storage server software tonight, not to bad of software UNTIL i found out that the free version is limited to 2tb's FML!!

Guess i'm going back to Freenass ( latest stable release ) Or 2008r2 storage server.

What are others using for ISCSI storage server ?

Never tried Solaris, i used to run FreeNas, ran awesome.

New hardware is

1U asus server 4 gigs ram 4 2 tb drives ( will use softraid zfs ) Core2duo 2.4

if you want to do less work to set up, maybe NexentaStor
but napp-it + openindiana shoud take care of your needs, follow the guide

I think i might try, NexentaStor, looks pretty cool, right now im just using 4 x 160 gig drives for testing till i order my 4 x 2tb drives. I would assume that NexentaStor will run off usb stick leaving me with my 4 main drives for storage ?
