So I was gaming on just one 7970 and 5760*1080 bezel compensated.

Saints row 3, my last session lasted 1h 23min and before I quit there were these triangle artifacts all over screen in-game.

I'm using powertune 20% in AMD Overdrive.
When the artifacts appeared 73c, voltage is mostly around 1.050 or less, in the range of 1.045-1.070,

I'm OC with trixx, I have not touched the volt in trixx so it is lowest 1117mv, maybe I should try AMD Overdrive instead?

My 7970 started showing artifacts in some games and even when browsing the web.
Then the PC wouldn't boot, failing to post while checking VGA.
I sent the card back for a refund and got a 7950 which seems to be more stable so far.

Try upping your fan speed. Mine doesn't seem to like going over 70C.

seems the longer you overclock or run over clocked the more it artifacts. I'm now wary of pushing my card to hard without adequate cooling - summertime here so heat doesn't help.

you could just create a custom template for a fan regimen/speed according to temperatures and see if that works for you after that try to bring up a voltage a little bit up, what should give a bit more stable overclock.
