ok this is my problem, i can't update my software, everytime i say check for updates it says

An error occurred while trying to connect to the Internet.
Check your Internet connection and try again. If you connect to the Internet using a proxy server, check the proxy settings. (56)

is it something in my internet or what, help appreciated

are u using pc-cillin? if so, i was having the same problems....i went to the website and it says that they are no longer using the older update file format and that a newer format is being phased in. i had pc-cillin 2002 and every time i went to update id get that error....i could not find a way to fix the software w/o having to buy the newer version...which i did. i got pc-cillin 2006 and it works fine.

Trend made changes recently to prevent "Mexican" versions of the software from receiving updates. If you're a registered user, you need to call their tech support to resolve this.

Oh great now we have illegal alien software crossing the river too. We really need to beef up the border patrol.
