I'm trying to transfer some old Mini DV movies to a digital format on my PC. The camera is broken and want to know if there are other more integrated options out there with the sole purpose of moving these to a digital format. Thanks.

You're probably going to have to resort to buying a used camera on ebay or paying someone else to do it.

The cheapest solution is going to be buying a used camera on eBay and transfer them through the camera.

Dedicated hardware is going to cost too much.

Sony made a drivebay DV drive back in the day, it was expensive back then and probably expensive still.
Get a used camera like the others suggested.

Also, what camera do you have and what exactly is broken on it?

And do you have a firewire port on your PC?

Looks like the Sony DRV-100 and DRV-1000 wasn't very popular, as there are very very few references to it on the net.
I saw one back in the day at a trade expo when I worked in Broadcasting.
